And I wanted this guy to be the Wisconsin coach when the position opened up five years ago. In fact, I still wish he was the coach. I would like for once see Lisa Stone get upset over a loss.

 

I know most you don't follow or care about women's hoops, but Borseth might have been best qualified for the Wisconsin job and was passed over. I think he wants to stick it to UW every chance he gets and he let one slip away.

 

Oh BTW, huge win for the Badgers.

Borseth had a nice run at my former employer, UW-Green Bay. I wouldn't mind seeing him in cardinal and white someday.

Did anyone else find it refreshing to see a coach really show his emotions in a press conference? He may not have gone about it the perfect way, but good for Borseth - sometimes it takes calling out your team to show them that change is needed.

Really I don't get the hype over this one. I mean I guess the "That's how I feel" was a bit amusing, but I don't mind that he's upset about losing. It's not like he's attacking a reporter or saying something absurd.

I'm actually pretty impressed by his self-restraint, it probably would've been easy to drop multiple f-bombs the way he was. There was a lot of "Dog gones" and "damns".

Borseth was always a terrific interview when he was at UWGB, and I could usually care less about womens BB. This guy just pulled me in. He would get pretty emotional after a loss at UWGB too, but nobody noticed, as he only lost a few times a year.

 

It was just amazing how he could take a bunch of girls from NE Wisconson make them into a team that could compete with anybody. I'd like to see a mens coach do that. Even Dick Bennet had to recruit Illinois and Indiana.

Hard to tell your kids to maintain their cool when he can't get through a press conference without yelling.

 

His gals lose today as well. So much for it being a pep rally speech.
