Anyone have any "cool" wallpaper or backgrounds?

Posted

My Dad and I go on ballpark trips each year, small ones, and even though I have a crappy camera, I like to get pictures of each place I go to, this year, I got this at Kauffman:

I also use this one, Field Of Dreams is a great place to visit if you haven't gone, and it is free, but money and greed has kind of made it a little worse:

And I took this one in 2006, I like this one a lot, don't know why, just an interesting angle I guess:

Anyone else have any others they would like to share, I really need a new wallpaper.

Here are a few of my favorites from this year. I can upload full size versions in the morning if you want Brian, just let me know.

First is from April. The lighting kind of sucked but the photo was timed perfectly. This was a home run swing.

This was a second later. I love this one because everyone in the photo is looking up watching this moon shot.

I just like this one for some reason.

This is from JSonline. So no larger copy is available as far as I know, but it looks good as wallpaper. It's from the 4/23/07 game.

I've been looking for a pic of Corey's catch in left center when he crashed into the wall (I think it was in Houston)... anyone?

It would be way cool if someone could post a picture of, and the name escapes me, where the Pittsburgh Pirates play. A view from home plate looking out is awesome!

Sorry I can't help you with a picture, Baldy, but yes - that was in Minute Maid Park. Right into the wall of the Brewers' bullpen. Maybe there's a pic at the MJS site?

This is the original version of the one I use:

I found it to be a bit bright for me, so the one that's actually on my desktop is softened up a bit. When I'm at my own computer, I'll see if I can get it uploaded somewhere.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

heh - that's my wallpaper, too, casey. From an older thread very, very similar to this. Iirc, a fellow BF.netter created the wallpaper.

Looks that way. I don't remember there being blue seats there, but you can see a Ryan Howard shirt in the lower right.

Who's #53?

Posted
Yes that's Citizens Bank Park. You can see a Phillies player on the banner on that pole and they have the wide open concourse in the outfield like in the picture. I'm guessing #52 is an old Abreu jersey.

The last one is a cool sign that may still be in Olympic stadium. All this time I thought I was supposed to throw my garbage at the players....

ya, that is in philly, I really liked that park. We had a great time in Philadelphia, we saw Arizona play. And in Philadelphia, they let you in early if you go in the left field bleachers, but you have to stay there. Well I went in the second deck of LF and caught on the fly an Eric Byrnes home run, and after I caught that, I walked around to take pictures. The people in Philadelphia were extremely nice. I always wear Brewers stuff no matter what game I go to, and when I was buying a program the guy told me that I had the wrong shirt on, and I said that I was from Wisconsin. And he gave me a free cooler because I came that far. And I was talking to a couple Philles fans and they were telling me how they loved it when the Brewers were there, he said that Fielder was hitting some of the farthest homers in bp he has ever seen.

Now I took that picture from a pavilion that they have in center field, you can walk up there and there are restaurants and bars, and also seats, center field is really cool there, in this picture behind the batters eye, which is to the right of the picture, they have two other brick walls and they have history on them, you can see the pavilion where I took that picture to the left. Philadelphia was really nice too, they have the arena and football stadium there too, so everything is in one spot.
