Here's to hoping Braun airmails his first throw to first (assuming it doesn't lead to a run).

I would put that in blue, but I don't think I'm kidding.

There's a firenedyost.com right? If there's grounds for that, I think I certainly have grounds for creating playcoreyhart.com or benchtgjr.com.

You shouldn't be, it means he'll hit a homerun his next time up.

Really don't like Braun second. He's likely to carry a low OBP for a while. Hey somehow Jenkins isn't hitting 6th today. But Yost again doesn't realize making Jenkins the second lefty is just making it too easy for the opposing manager.

End, it doesn't matter if the opposing manager trots out a lefty specialist - Fielder routinely makes those guys pay for thinking he's easier to retire vs. a lefty.

You also really want Jenkins up in that lineup - he KILLS Maddux, and you want him to get as many ABs as possible against him.

Go read what the site is about. There are very good arguments that are well thought out. Just because you can't handle that doesn't mean you should want to do something hateful towards somebody.

edit: and if you want to defend him then post your comments.

I have read the site, I just find it annoying.

There are an awful lot of people around that seem to think coaching is the easiest thing in the world. I have no desire to get into more circular debates that never end about a decision made in the heat of the moment during a game. It's not worth the time, as it's impossible to tell what ideas are actually his. For example, last football season the head coach would periodically as my opinion on the offense during the game. A couple of times my play scored us a touchdown or got us a big play, however there was a time we threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown. Sure he's ultimately responsible, but it was my poor idea and play call that made us all look bad.

Just because it pisses me off, doesn't mean I'd smack him one if I ever met him. To each his own, I just think the sites like that are childish and classless. I don't want to hijack the game thread and start a debate about matters that are purely personal taste and opinion as there is no right and wrong.

Debate is the essence of baseball and sports outside of rooting for your team and entertainment. It's not a Rah-Rah world. If you believe your opinions can sway people to think Yost is a great manager then you should. Maybe it would help you stop being "pissed" if you engaged. Also no one has intimated that being a manager is easy. When it comes to Yost, he has a track record. People should be able to say what they feel base on what they have seen him do the last 4 years.

To each his own except you choose to call said people childish and classless...

Wow, I kinda wish braun was coming off the bench tonight and starting tomorrow night. Batting 2nd against a guy that has litterally been a Cy Young Candidate your entire life is quite the steak to swallow. Here's to him proving me wrong, but I just think this is kind of like my dad making me drive on the highway the very first time I ever drove a car because of my success driving other motor vehicles. I did pretty poorly to say the least.

Why not? I thought smacking wrong people was a reward for growing up!

This lineup is pretty awesome. I might have Braun fifth or sixth, but if that's my only nitpick I'll gladly take it.

Jenkins' success against Maddux is pretty well documented, but Damian Miller's had plenty of success against him too. I'm guessing that's why he's in there tonight.

Let's face it this is all the matters tonight in the lineup:

2B Rickie Weeks

3B Ryan Braun

SS J.J. Hardy

1B Prince Fielder

You could pick the other 4 out of a hat and be fine... I don't mind moving Jenks up because he provides more protection then Hall currently. Also if they do bring a lefty it will just mean Hart PH's for Jenkins. which means the lineup would look like:

2B Rickie Weeks

3B Ryan Braun

SS J.J. Hardy

1B Prince Fielder

LF HART (PH)

CF Hall

As a Brewerfan.net member how could you not love that after how much we have followed this group over the last 4 or 5 years.

Everybody has a right to their own opinions and how they express them but tonight I refuse to get upset about anything and will just sit here and bask in the glow of being a Brewer fan tonight. Can't wait until we see this lineup in 2 years with Inman on the mound.

Word. This is pretty darn cool.

Braun debut

T. Gwinn Jr. back in San Diego

In 1st by 6

Good night to be in Petco. Looks like there will be noticeably more Brewer fans tonight than there have been the last 10 years.

I'll be in 107 tonight if anyone can come by. I have a 70s jersey and my daughter has a Weeks jersey. Wife and son are Pads fans.

Just wait two months and you'll see it with Gallardo on the mound.

Did anybody see the CNNSI article that mentioned Braun's call-up and call it a desperation move?

CNNSI's definition of desperation:

- Calling up one of the top 5 prospects in Baseball who is leading the league in everything.

My definition of desperation:

- Signing Jeffrey Hammonds to a 4 year contract.

- Having Chad Moeller as a starting catcher

- Wes Helms / Russell Branyan / Graffy / Counsell at 3B.

- Kinney and Franklin making up 2/5 of your rotation.

If this is desperation I will gladly take it over my definition.

endaround, I'd line Braun second because:

1) he walked more than struck out in AAA

2) it means Hardy is hitting 3rd.

How did that happen???? At least your daughter got it right!!! Hope to see you tomorrow at the game if you are going.
