Maybe if Ned managed a few games in April/May like you say he should in September we would've won those games and the division. Honestly, I don't know how many times I have to say this but a win in April counts exactly the same as a win in September.

Good luck winning games with no Riske, Torres, Mota, or Gagne in the pen in September. They would all be worn out by July. The season is a marathon, not a sprint.

So we would have no Riske, Torres, Mota, or Gagne in sept because we needed to get ONE pivotal out for a tired young lefty that doesn't have his stamina or command up to par yet in April. That is ridiculous! Have you ever looked at how many appearances Torres and Mota make in a year?

Suppan, Gallardo and Villy have three awesome starts in a row and get nothing to show for it. Parra barely makes it through 5 innings and will probably get the win. Strange game.

Anyone still want to sit Weeks or send him back down to Nashville?

No, but since that worked maybe we should start threads about sending Fielder and Braun down to the minors. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

EA Sports...It's in the game...until we arbitrarily decide to shut off the server.

Ya we know that they have alot of apprearances under their belt. But doing it today and every other time we have a jam in the 5th will add up to way to many. It is not alot to ask of a pitcher to pitch through the 5th. It worked so now we can move on. And if the bats arrive this team is going to get really hot.

Stetter time? Or Riske for another inning?
Stetter already pitched in this game

Oops, at work. Ppaying too much attention to my job, I guess.

Anyone else surprised that the Mets haven't been able to get even one run off Lilly through 4 innings? I have enjoyed watching Lilly pitch at the level he should pitch so far this year

Not just this situation, but anytime the other team gets a couple runners. Everyone on here starts yelling to go to the pen right away. The starters need to get farther into the game than the 5th inning, or they need new starters.

Also, I wouldn't call it a real pivotal out when a single would only tie the game in the 5th inning.

Yeah, I was about to say: work? Work?!?!?

I got in this morning at 8:45, ate some breakfast, talked with my boss for a few, sent out an email or two, and then the Brewers came on at 10 AM. I dig these weekday matinees

They had 2 on, 1 out last inning, but couldn't cash in. It would be nice if the one quality opponent the Cubs have faced would actually perform well against them.

Is that game on WGN?
