Yet, they're still owning us.

Nuh-uh. We're ruling in the LOB category.

Brewers really needed Weeks to get on to lead off the inning...sounded like he broke his bat on that grounder. Counsell follows with a lazy fly. I'm calling for a Prince K to end it.

Not a bad try by Hall there, even though he had a really crappy game. The centerfielder celebrated there like they won Game 1 of the World Series.

If it wasn't 600 feet to dead center, Hall might've had a chance to tie it.

At least he didn't go down in 3 pitches. The LOB numbers are maddening, though....at least they're getting guys on base. Suck it up and go after the rookie tomorrow. Then again, last week the guy was pitching in A, which means the Brewers have no scouting reports on him and will spend about 5 innings just trying to figure out what the heck he's throwing.

Is it just me or is the heart of the lineup just trying to hit homeruns. I have watched everygame and we can drive the ball if our lives depended on it. Its either a strike out or a long fly ball.

The lack of offensive firepower is an early concern. If they are real contenders and not pretenders, the Brewers are going to need to learn how to score more than 3 runs in a game like this

This team still hasn't addressed the LOB issue from last season. This is a a serious matter that has to be fixed if we expect to compete.

How exactly do you go about "fixing" leaving people on base? Isn't it just a natural result of reaching base, you're sometimes going to get left there? Can the hitters just try harder to not get out when people are on base as opposed to when they're empty?

I wish we had a team like the Marlins. Wasn't this how this Brewers franchise was supposed to be right about now? A bunch of very young, very talented players...mostly singles/doubles contact hitters with a big time power guy in the middle?

For all the hoopla we've heard about our farm system over the past few years the Marlins have a lot more and better young talent than we do.

And they'll win a world series in the next 3-5 years, sell everyone off and do it all over again.

I agree, so far (last year, and this year I mean) our "prospects" have been very disappointing.

I can't believe that our best hitters so far have been Jenks, Mench and Counsell. Seems like almost everyone else is trying to hit HR's. Once they quit that we might start hitting better as a team.
