Hall is just flat out playing terrible...this is getting tough to watch...between weeks poping out with men on 2nd and 3rd and now Hall misplaying 2 balls in one inning...he has cost us way to many runs already this season http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif

well, Brett, "clutch" or not, leaving RISP on base is sure doom for an offense, and team

If this team leads the league in runners left in scoring position, chances are they will be one of the top offenses in the league. In order to leave runners on (and score runs), you have to first get them on. That's a concern I have/had about the team, so if they finish that way I will be pleasantly surprised.

I think Florida could call up there entire AA team and beat us. The Brewers should call up the Marlins head scout and offer to double his pay.

I'm just not that impressed with Suppan so far--in either start. He throws strikes, it appears, but seems to be quite average since he doesn't blow people away but pitches to contact. And sometimes, that contact is quite hard.

Reminds me of Bill Wegman, in a way.

i dont get the game...the stupid bucks are on...what happened on the hall error?? I did not see and I was watching it on mlb gameday.

some people are quick to chastize bill hall. I don't think he is the kind pf player that gets lazy with a big contract. I think Hall will eventually stabilize out there.

Bill Hall is only as good as the job he is trying to win. There were numerous times last year that he was getting in a comfort zone and then made some stupid things such as showing up the umpire on a called 3rd strike last year. Ned called him out and sat him down and then he got focused again. 162 strike outs last year and off to the same start this year. To have that in the 4 hole is not a playoff team.

Prince flies out to the track...crap. If this game isn't being played in a freaking football stadium, that's probably a HR.

Are you kidding? Nobody is calling Hall lazy. He is one of my two favorite players in all of baseball. The man cant help it that his General Manager and Manager think that because he can play all three infield spots that he can also play centerfield. Like many have said before, this isnt Nintendo, you just can magically put Hall in the outfield and have him succeed right away. The guy is playing centerfield like a career middle infielder...oh wait a second...he is a career middle infielder.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but the Brewers honestly don't have time/luxury this year to wait for that to happen.

How many strikeouts is acceptable in the 4 hole. Just wondering. Or how many can a playoff team have?

Weeks would be much better in the 2 or 3 hole.

Thats something I have been thinking about lately - I think Hardy should be moved to the top of the order. I think you put Weeks in front of Prince and he will see alot more fastballls - which you just dont throw past him.

Who hit fourth for the Cards last year? Edmonds? He strikes out about once a game, as well. The Red Sox led the league in K's and won the world series. The White Sox K'd 1002 times in 2005. There really isn't any correlation between low K totals and playoff appearances. It's about scoring runs, not in what fashion you make outs.

You know, it must be something about the Brewers uniform, because for a guy who doesnt strike out a lot, Estrada sure has struck out a lot to start the year.

Agreed - Put Estrada at 2, Weeks at 3, Prince at 4, and Hall at 5

He ran a long way to his right, reached out to his right near the wall, and the ball went in and out of his glove. Got an error for that.

Later in the inning, a slicing shot was hit to dead center that landed on the warning track or just short of the warning track before bounding over the wall -- Hall's "route" was basically to follow the curve of the ball with his body in a big sinuous arc with his head on a swivel. No error for that, but I believe most centerfielders would've made it look a lot easier and recorded the out.

Hall will probably be like Soriano was last year. AS really sucked the first month or two and then ended up leading the league in outfield assists I believe.
