5/21/08 Brewers (Sheets) at Pirates (Snell): 6:05 PM CDT

Wow! Hey Rickie, just go hit one out to the deepest LC in baseball.

"Ok."

-- btw, the Bucs announcers are speculating that/wondering if Snell might be getting caught tipping his pitches by the Crew. They cited that Weeks HR & the one to Braun.

You hate name calling, however you called me (or my post, same thing) no class. I agree that it's easy to pass blame once things don't go the way one thinks it should, but again, this is a public forum and "idiot" posters like me don't mind passing the blame when one thinks someone did something stupid.

Lets squash this and watch some baseball.

Sheets seems a bit fortunate to have only given up one run so far, they have a ton of pretty deep fly balls.

The color guy for Pitt. just said he's really now seriously wondering about Snell tipping pitches. They sound objective, so I'm trying to be fair.

I think one reason Cameron hasn't 'looked' great in the OF is that he gets marvelous jumps on the ball, & is still a graceful athlete. He hasn't had to dive much, largely because he just gets there a step ahead of most OFs. That catch tonight was incredible -- good example of how he made a tough play look easy; he turned around to look at the wall twice, right? That's knowing how to track FBs.

Did not call you an idiot, just did not like your first post. Second was very well said.

Is it small sample syndorome, or has Braun been working better ABs in the past 2-3 weeks?

EDIT: Annnnd, that swing. I'll still sheepishly raise the question.

LaRoche was a nice move for PIT. They dumped a RP with arm trouble history, and got a guy entering his prime seasons. Perfect small-market trade imo.

WEEKS!

rickie has swung at the first pitch in all four abs tonight. I wonder if the coaching staff told him to do so. either way i like it. game ball to rickie so far. lets get this W, it would be a big one.

Carlos Lee's 3 run HR puts the Astros ahead of the Cubs, 4-3 in the 3rd.

Prince angers me

He was the next Hank Aaron last year and has now "struggled" (he still has a great OBP and nearly an .800 OPS) in 162 AB. Why are people so down on him? What have you done for me lately?

Thats why he angers me, cause I know he can do better. But I really would just like for him to eat a hamburger.

what do you think is going through sheet's mind right now. My guess is, these guys better get some more runs or i am not leaving this game.

Sheets needs tto pitch one more scoreless inning, so his ERA is under 3 again. He's batting again, so he'll get his chance.

I can see why Yost wants to get this Counsell guy's bat in the lineup more often.

Hall is having a mental day off. Unavailable!

But I really would just like for him to eat a hamburger.

Are people really still thinking about that?

Ok, so what's Dillon doing? Have to save him for those extra inning PH opportunities?

EDIT:With Sheets batting you already giving up one out, why Yost just doesn't do the small things to give his team the advantage is beyond me

interesting note from the Pirate commentary regarding Kendall "vowing never to bunt again" after the ankle injury...

I wonder if that's why he botched the suicide squeeze sign against St Louis a week ago...?
