I was thinking on a permanent basis.

Gotcha. I can only hope that Ned moves Jenks down for lefties (or doesn't start him at all), but I'm not very confident that'll happen.

I was looking at this week and was really liking this road trip we were suppose to miss Liriano and Johan while playing the Twins. Now the Twins are skipping Bonser so we will face Liriano.

I comment on this because really the toughest matchup was Maddux on Monday night. Brewers kill Zambrano and the rest of the matchups had questions. I would like to see 3 more wins this week if not 4.

JJ update: JP talked to him, pretty depressed, no bball activities at all now, tendon still popping, no timetable for return.

It seems more and more like he's not going to be able to play any more before having surgury on it.

I have ceased looking at the pitching match ups. It doesn't matter, if the hitters show up the crew wins, if not they lose. Everytime someone posts about favorable matchups the Brewers seem to lose every game they should win on paper.

I worry more about the brewers defense imploding than pitching match-ups

Rickie doesn't get on but I love his approach at the plate. Didn't swing until the 5th pitch then makes what appears to have been solid contact. Marmol in the mid 90's according to CBSsportline.

I didn't watch those at bats, but those last two had to be ugly

why do you say that? this kid has a nasty 93 mph heater with movement, and a tight slider that he got Jenkins on. Other than the two that nearly hit Hall, his command has been very sharp

BTW, why are the cubs starting Nevin in left now? He is 35 years old. Maybe it is time to play the youngster Dusty? Or maybe they thinking getting to that 70th win is really that important.

Only other option is Murton and he is really struggling. Only real prospect is Pie and he is too young right now.

Nevin gives them one more power guy.
