At least we now know Bill Hall is NOT an everyday SS. Situation resolved, Hardy needs to get back healthy. I like Hall but he's been brutal. I hope Yost pulled him for performance.

Like we know Weeks isn't an everyday 2B?

Is it really that hard to just say someone's having a bad game?

I hate these sweeping pronouncements based on a day's performance.

It's early, but it feels like we're cooked tonight.

The offense will be too shell-shocked to do anything, and the Royals win 8-5.

This 5th inning is the time to get off the mat, not in the 7th or 8th.

No kidding.

This year's in game threads swing with every single pitch, they remind me of Red Sox or Cubs in game threads... relax and maintain a bit of perspective people.

Please. I was Hall's biggest critic about his D a couple years ago but he's developed into at least a mediocre defensive SS.

I thought Hall looked pretty good tonight at short other than the big error. He made a sensational play to get a guy at second earlier in the game. Some of you guys need to get off the ledge.

Fellas Hall has been brutal since Hardy's injury. That's a fact. Have you guys been watching Weeks for the last 2-3 weeks, he played very well in the field. GEEZ!!!

Hardy assumes his SS job when he comes back, he's been given the job back basically be default, Hall's defense.

My thoughts aren't just one game, Hall has struggled, you would have to admit.

There have been three plays Hall should have made tonight which he didn't make. He was only charged for an error on one, but I'm confident that Hardy would have made a play on all three. Hall isn't awful at short, but he's average at best.

If this was Jenkins or another of this year's whipping boys, I'm sure you would be whistling a different tune.

If hall would play the rest of the year he easily would pass Weeks error total, SCARY

So what's your point? Should we bench him, trade him??? There are 29 other MLB teams that would LOVE to have Hall on their team.

I'm guessing Hall's injury had something to do with the 10 or so times he was forced to slide back to first after his single earlier in the game. There was one slide in particular where he really took his time getting up. Of course FSN didn't pick up on this.

My point is Badger, we need Hardy back because his defense is really important for us and Hall needs to get back into his utility role, his defense has been pretty bad since Hardy got hurt. He booted a sure double play ball, that could end up being the game.

Does that answer your question?

Did Uecker or whoever say why Hall left??

One other thing, did anyone notice Davis was trying to throw his curveball in that last inning, he couldn't find the zone but he kept throwing it, GEEZ!!! he walked 2 pretty bad hitters.

We're in business. Gross is heating up again. If we overcome that horrible inning I'll be impressed. We don't deserve to win this game at all.

Edit: I wouldn't call Buck a "bad hitter", at least not while he's hitting the ball like he has lately.

How many games have we lost due to bad defense by Hall? If we lose tonight, you could argue one but even that would be a stretch. I'll take Billy's bat in the lineup ten times out of ten over Hardy's.

Thank goodness your not the manager Badger. Hardy stabilizes our defense, which on this team is very very important.

On a side note, we're not cooked yet, this is the Royals

Seeing as Rickie already has a sizeable lead on Bill Hall, I'd say that you are overreacting, KCBrewerfan.

I think Hall has 11 errors on the year, & no I'm not, he would catch him if he played the rest of the year at SS, thankfully he won't be. Don't get me wrong I like Hall as well but not defensively at SS. Defense matters guys.

Wow, wow, wow. 2 offensive mistakes. Running error... and how late was weeks getting to 2nd base?

I guess when it rains, it pours...
