Congrats to Sabathia for overcoming Ned's every attempt to leave him on the mound to die as he has done with every pitcher on the staff at some point this year.

130 pitches in a blowout. What a joke. Ned's apparently is making it his goal to make CC #1 in all stats, including PAP. He's only got to pass Halladay to get there, go CC! Maybe you can go 150 pitches vs. the Pirates this weekend.

You don't think he's got built in incentives for stuff like that? You know he does. CG's add bonuses like no other.

No he doesn't-Cy Youngs and MVPs only

Ray Durham, where have you been? Oh yeah, on the bench in lieu of Rickie Weeks.

Ray Durham himself says he can't play everyday anymore. Starting one over the other wouldn't cost the Brewers even one game the rest of the way.

He's having a nice night, but let's not get crazy, 2 of his hits were groundballs that found holes.

Pretty crazy what can happen when you actually hit the ball.

I've tried to give Yost the benefit of the doubt most of the time, but that's just insane. I'm so mad I feel like we lost. Whats the point? We're up 7 runs, he's over 100 pitches, he wore down in the play-offs last year. Does Yost not realize all of this? I hate Yost right now

It was nice to have a guy up at the plate who i thought would actually HIT the ball.

I don't know for sure, but I would be willing to bet he does.

Not to mention they asked him, I'm sure he asked to stay, and everything was fine. the extra 15 pitches from normal tonight make no difference. Warm night in August, not like it's April 15th.

I guess only time will tell.. personally I am not too worried.. if this come back to haunt anybody it will be the Yankees next year. I am more worried about Braun.

Yost is unreal keeping in CC for that long.I don't like the espn announcers as a rule but they were right here.

PSHopefully our owner will make every effort to keep this stud

Great, tack on another garbage run so Russell can mitigate his importance since joining the Brewers, by citing solely his ERA. In fact I'd argue that Sabathia changed his approach once he got a sizable lead, causing his runs allowed to increase. He pounded the plate even more than usual knowing the only way he could get beaten is by walking batters.

If Sabathia fades at the end of the season, or even worse suffers an arm injury, it should be Ned's job.

Everybody says CC wore down in the playoffs.. did he admit this anywhere.. what I have read is that he was way too pumped and tried to take too much on similar to the first Milwaukee start.. let's get to the playoffs before we start worrying about the playoffs.

That right there is the difference between a good manager and a poor manager. A poor manager asks his players what they want to do; a good manager tells his players what they should do and think. That's called leadership.
