6/20/06 Tigers (Miner) @ Brewers (Helling), 7:05 PM CST

Thought I'd try to get some first game thread post win mojo going on. Helling comes of the DL and subsequent good rehab starts in AAA to face baseball's best team. He is 8-5 against the Tigers in his career with a 4.81 ERA in 15 starts. I'll leave it to those better at this to do some preview and lineup action.

The most important part of this game is how Helling feels tomorrow morning. We need him for the long haul. I'm not looking at the wild card standings until the Brewers are 5 games above .500. I'm not getting sucked in to that until they prove to be reliable. We should have a meter running for the number of consecutive games Weeks has gone without an error. The "Week-o-meter"? Just random thoughts.

Weeks has been pretty solid in the field lately.. i think... did i miss an error?

Anyway, this game will be interesting.. The Tigers have a very strong lineup for now, but how long can they count on guys like Pudge and Ordonez? They have some good youngsters but i see them dropping off if they can't continue to sign the big name free agents once in a while.

Week-E-Meter: 14

(Meaning Weeks has made it 14 games since an making an error, even though it seems like a Week-E-Meter should be counting the number of errors, but oh well, this is what you asked for) http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Isn't tonight the dueling Buckethead action?

If it is a success, just remember, that it was MY idea (I sent it to the broadcast crew 2 years ago).

If it's a failure, just remember, that it was MY idea (and put me in the archives of Great Blunders in Baseball Stadium History)

Another extra base hit for an american league pitcher. I'm sounding like a broken record.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif

And now he scores.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
