Certainlly not ideal, but if it means I don't have to see Winkelsas, Simpson, Shouse pitch the 7th, I can't get to upset. Now hopefully Capellan doesn't run out of gas.

I agree with that assessment but Cirillo, Miller, and Hart are on the bench.. and there are only 2 PH opportunities left between now and then end of the ninth so what are they waiting for? the 0.001% chance they will run out of PH in the 13th inning?

Fine let the pitcher hit then..

I think Wise or Villenueva would be fine in the 8th..

I think it was right to let Cappellan to bat.

Why? He was pitching well. There's not some robotic rule where you MUST pinch hit for relief pitchers. If you do, than you might as well program a computer to do the managing for you.

I am glad they let Capellan hit. I don't want to see those scrub relievers come in the game.

rluz do you agree with latin cappy batting?

No, I'm simply pointing out that the Brewers can't even take advantage of having an extra pitcher because they are almost out of position players. They should have one more position to begin with. I'm sick of having 13 pitchers.

I 100% agree if you are leading and maybe if you are tied.. but right now the most important thing is to score 2 runs.. shutting out the cardinals the last 2 innings does no good if you can't score..

But they have plenty to PH there.. there is 3 on the bench..

Hell of an AB

So our expectations for him have dropped so far that instead of being excited about a hit or at least glad for a hard out we are satisfied with a strikeout where he fouled off some pitches?

Gord sounds proud of Jenks for fouling pitches off. that's funny.

good at bat though

Have we lowered our standards that much when it comes to Jenkins? This is the big leagues, not little league.

Mark A - how to best spend your money:

Jenkins - $1,119,047 per HR

Moeller - $140,000 per HR

Hall - $27,866 per HR

(2006 salary / 2006 HR)

how about an 8 year deal for 45 million?... lock. hall. up.

Hey guys...aren't there a couple of sites that allow you to view images of approximate seat views from various sections in major league ballparks? brewers.com isn't being very helpful...

Know of any helpful websites?

No, all I expect is a good AB out of him. That's all you can ask. I mean, what are your expectations of him? A HR every time at bat? There was no difference between his out and Lee's, aside from Jenkins making the pitcher work harder.
