The crappy starts are just bad luck because of injuries but Melvin didn't upgrade the bullpen at all during the offseason.

He got Kolb back for middle relief and his primary long relief guy Helling is injured.

Well.. Winkelsas was definately the answer. 13 pitchers and he's the best the Brewers could come up with in a crucial situation? This time we even had a lead, not like we were already trailing by 8 runs.

exactly. He got a guy Ned doesn't trust with a lead to replace Julio Santana who was trusted and pretty darn good in key situations for most of last year.

The POS bullpen is all on Melvin. The crappy starts are just bad luck because of injuries but Melvin didn't upgrade the bullpen at all during the offseason.

Dan Kolb?

Seriously, wasn't this the situation to bring in Capellan? You knew this pitcher was only going to go one inning with the pitcher's spot up.

If they play this right, this should go a long way toward giving us closure on DLR as a starter. He has a DL'able injury. Be patient before his rehab assignment to build up his arm strength, use the 30 day rehab to give him 6 starts in Nashville, and see what you have.

I love how we're walking guys left and right, but the strikezone for the Cards reliever was the size of the Grand Canyon.

That strike 3 called on Rickie was clearly high, and even off the plate inside.

Nice call going to Capellan....one inning too late

Then again, maybe not...are we really going to let this slip away? Really?

And Carlos, how about showing some hustle out in left...
