They basically all suck except for Wise and Turnbow. That's what it comes down to. I wouldn't want to put those bums in on a consistent basis either. That's not an excuse either those guys throw side sessions if they don't go to work for awhile.

Off topic, but Yo Gallardo has a no-no going through 8 innings for Brevard County tonight with 3 walks and 10 strikeouts.

Sigh.... nothing like jinxing things, eh?

And right on cue, Yo gives up a hit.

What gets me is we had a lead to protect.

I understand bringing in your 12th, 13th, 20th relief pitcher in a game your starter gave up 8 runs in 2 innings. Though I suppose no one really has proved they can put out fires in our pen this season.

Carlos's lollygagging in the outfield gets old real fast. I don't care if he jogs to first on grounders but don't give up extra bases 'cause you don't want to be bothered to hustle after a ball down the line.

So this is how the Brewers looked while I was on vacation? Very Discouraging.

Who are these guys and what have they done with the Brewers?

Without checking the stats, I am going to say that I'll bet we have allowed double digits in more games so far this year than the entire last season.

Does Carlos even care that he's in a contract year?

Sure he does. That's why he doesn't risk injury by hustling on defense or on pop-ups / groudballs.

Oh, and on a different note, since it was being discussed earlier, is Obie really available? If he is, I don't see why we don't pick him up. He's a better option than half our bullpen right now.

is Obie really available?

Last I heard he's pitching in Japan, I believe. But I agree, He'd be one of the better options out of this bullpen.

Ah, geez,

Before I could get home to post, the game went from bizarro "Jorge owns the Cardinals" universe to whammy night.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

We acquired Brian Shouse in mid-May and he made his debut on May 14th. Here is his usage pattern since then, with |'s signifying days and + signifying appearances.

+|+++|+|||||+|||+||||+||||+

After working in his debut and then in all three games against the Phillies, he's worked a grand total of five times between May 20th and June 9th.

well, you know the bullpen is struggling mightily when people are wondering where Obermueller is.

Is Bradford with the Mets? Sure would be nice to land someone like him who might not do the job with a 95 mph, but does the job
