Benny figures he did enough and he's in line for the win. Sure thing with this pen.

This better be nothin', though I must say that even if Benny misses a start I'm pretty happy with teh rest of the rotation and McClung is good for a spot start.

i was just following the game on yahoo and saw he got yanked. i was hoping it wasn't anything major and doesn't appear to be, crossing my fingers now though! maybe he just has a tired arm like zambrano.

Who had September 1?

Seriously, though. This makes me really nervous. We know the Ben Sheets injury cycle -- I think somebody posted the 5-day "routine" back in April when his spot was skipped.

Maybe (hopefully) it's just a blister or something.
Let's hope it's not a blister. Those can linger for what would be the rest of the year.

As someone else said, tired arm like Zambrano would be about the best case scenario. (Edit: Or Groin.)

Trenni said Sheets has tightness in his groin, again.

Now we get to hear BA's wretched pronunciation of groin! lol

It seems like CV has really been laboring lately. He has gotten the job done more often that not, but it hasn't been easy.

I've felt the same way. Ever since the walk-off against the Dodgers.

Can Tim Dillard pitch the 7th over Riske? lol

Did anyone else notice and not like that CV's fastball/changeup velocity differential was only 5-7MPH (and sometimes as little as 3 or 4)? That's not quite enough of a difference for me.
