I guess I am going to go ahead and keep thinking that our bullpen this year is worse than last year's pen and have only been saved by our starters going deep into games.

That kind of thing happens to both Gagne and Mota all the time. Fluky double or bad defensive play followed by a homer and then the flood gates open.

In better news, the Nationals are beating up on the Phillies today. I think I'm going to like the Phillies being in second for the WC. They take 2 of 3 from the Cubs and then get beat up by the Nationals.

My God is he awful. Ned is just as stupid for giving him the 8th inning role when he came back.
You would be saying the exact same thing if he had brought Mota in there. There is only one dependable reliever in Torres. The rest need to start pitching better.

Really. This is a bad bullpen. Switching to a new bad reliever isn't some great plan. A better plan might have been to let our only decent reliever (Torres) go against the meat of the lineup, but that's not allowed.

Can somebody tell me why there are so many Mets fans at the game?

 

Gagne with his first awful outing since August 10. I sure love our bullpen.

 

There are always a lot of Mets fans for some reason. I go to that series every year because a good friend of mine is a big Mets fan, and every year there seems a high percentage of Mets fans.
