Well, at least this ump is terrible both ways. Edmonds getting thrown out with 2 strikes on him is pretty funny, though.

Watch the pinch-hitter win it.

Don't know how you call that a ball after calling Braun out on a pitch much worse than that.

I didn't see the first eight innings, but Rapuano has been pretty consistent with the outside pitches since I've been watching. The one to Braun was within the framework, and so were these ones to Edmonds, who is acting like a freaking two-year-old. You'd think someone as experienced as Edmonds would know better than to behave like that.

Wearing my heart on my sleeve since birth. Hopefully, it's my only crime.

So true story:

Last night I was telling someone how literally the night before our boys where born in May, was the beginning of that awful stretch in May, and literally the day they came home from the NICU, the Brewers went on that tear to be the hottest team in the league forever until September.

I was joking that I couldn't figure out what had changed with the boys in September though.

My wife comes home from work today, and she had taken this Brewers cowbell that a friend found for me, to her classroom to use to ring when the kids where acting up. She comes home today and tells me that one of her students asked her to get rid of it because the Brewers hadn't been winning since she brought it in.

So I proceeded to give her a lot of trouble about how that was the link I had just been looking for, and she needed to get rid of it. 10 minutes later its a tie ball game and now she believes me.

I'm sorry for doing that to you all.

Man, hate when umpiring/refereeing starts to decide a game. The umps have been entirely too involved in this game, with the Corey call at third, the crazy strike zone and now this.

Edmunds gone! Nice job Jimmy, they were both clearly strikes.
Not according to Gameday. In fact, according to Gameday, they were clearly balls.

Well yeah, that's sort of the problem. He was giving nothing off the corners the first 8 innings but then all of a sudden he expanded the strikezone.

CSN's pitch track graphic had both pitches well off the plate, but about the same distance off as the Marmol and Wood strikeouts.

The Cubs are acting like this is extra innings of the 7th game of the World Series. I'm not saying try to lose but it's a bit silly to be getting angry enough to be thrown out in a virtually meaningless game.

Dear Baseball gods,

I know that I just laughed a little when they announced Felix Pie as the pinch hitter. Please do not punish us for that. I'm hysterical and I cannot be held accountable for my actions.
