Butler making a nice comeback. Apparently, Mormons do not believe in defense although I think they'll make a run in the second half. BYU was a sleeper of mine.

By the way, CBS Sportsline absolutely rules on days like today.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Go Cal State Northridge! With Memphis as a potential opponent to MU later in the tourney if they keep winning I would love to see this upset happen.

For the second straight year I pick BYU over Texas A&M, and for a second straight year BYU can't hang with the 6th seeded team from the Big 12. Making the Mountain West proud.

I also went 1 for 3 in the morning games....but I didn't have either BYU or Butler advancing, so it's not that big a deal to me.

For whatever reason, I've got the video streaming from the N. Iowa - Purdue game, but the audio from what sounds like StL v. TB baseball.

Yeah that was pretty funny. I think they have it figured out now.

My Lord Illinois is just brutal. How are they a five seed?

the differences between the big east and WAC are very obvious. Marquette is far more phsical and its showing. They are dominating the boards.

Yeah, now if they'd only stop taking ill-advised 3's.

Marquette is thoroughly dominating but only up by 8. So frustrating.

If Marquette could hit some of these shots they could easily be up 15+. Great defense though.

Seth Davis: "Utah State stronger inside, Marquette stronger on the perimeter and that's why they're winning."

Marquette has more offensive rebounds, total rebounds, and blocks. Can't you just look at the box score?

Ridiculous that Marquette didn't cruise to a 17 point win.

They were playing the 25th ranked team in the nation fairly close to that team's home court. I'm happy with a win.

That was a pretty good win considering Matthews and McNeal only showed up for the last 3 minutes, and as you said, it was essentially a road game.

Congrats to Ben Woodside, you just might have gotten yourself drafted.

Granted here in the Twin Cities he's been a name for sometime, but its nice to see him blow up against a team like Kansas.

I do not have cable so I do not think I watched a single badgers game all year, but if this is how they played all year then they didnt deserve a bid at all.

The Badgers haven't been this bad all year, but the cold shooting and lack of athleticism have been common themes.
