Turnbow to Boston?

Since Turnbow has closer experience and with so many teams in need of bullpen arms, I can see him going. If Turnbow goes away and they bring in DeJean, who's the main setup guy for Cordero? I hope it's not Wise. Aquino? Yikes. I hope Capellan could grow into that role but that's a big gamble.

 

Well I think the set up would be Wise, Capellan or Aquino even if Turnbow was on the team. I doubt Ned (although anything is possible) would've thrown him into the setup role right away especially after last year's implosion.

DAMN!!!!! Donnelly to the Red Sox. Hopefully the multiple players means there's another trade on tap.

 

Donnelly doesn't have any closing experience, does he? Is he coming in to be the setup man? I hope so...

The Sox could use a backup catcher as well...

 

I believe the Sox have signed (or at least agreed to terms) with Doug Mirabelli for 2007. Happened just recently.

Yeah, Donnelly and Romero to Boston pretty much squashes anything regarding Turnbow to the Red Sox this offseason.

 

not really. We know from reports (and on the BoSox own site) that they still want to find a closer. Neither of these guys is a closer

As rotoworld said, their pen is starting to get crowded. I'd imagine they'll look at the committee, or just give it to one of the guys.

 

Neither of these guys is a closer

 

Neither is Turnbow as of now. Until he shows any signs of recovery, expecting him to close games again isn't a certainty.
