I'm looking at his body off work the last two years not just one 1,2,3 wiff job.

I guess you weren't willing to get all sophisticated and look at his platoon split?

Wow great numbers vs. lefties so he's basiclly Jeff Keppinger.

Get ready for Bill Hall to go down swinging again.

Gamel needs to be getting the majority of the PT at 3B, this is getting silly.

McClung just needed to serve that up so we can bring in Trevor next inning http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

The longer we stick with Manny (3-7 W-L, 6.75 ERA, 1.83 WHIP) the more we are going to wear out our bullpen.. Especially since he hasn't gone more than 6 IP since last August (against the Nationals)... He has been getting progressively worse month by month dating back to last year...

Great job by McClung and Burns the past two days to really save the bullpen. Things could be worse -- the Cubs are in another marathon extra innings game tonight with the Braves...I'd hate to see what their bullpen situation is going to be like tomorrow. At least they're softening up the Braves' pen for the Brewers. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

You called for him to be DFA's after saying your poured over the numbers and found he does nothing good but play decent defense. Hall has an OPS of .900 against lefties the last two years, so that was just an ignorant statement.

Well saying he should be DFA is pretty ignorant. He does have a good comparison with Keppinger

I agree that Gamel should get more playing time, but I'm sick of seeing him make outs on the first pitch. He needs to adjust.
Yeah, Gamel has shown flashes of what we have heard about him as a hitter in the minors. He has not been in instant hitter like Braun was. But there are not to many Braun's out there. I think Mat will get mor comfortable and hit better with the more PT he gets. I'm not concerned with him at all. I think if he gets consistent AB's he will be settled in by end of June early July.

Line of the night from TH's Twitter:

They just announced the attendance at Land Shark Stadium as 13,012, which also happened to be the number of pitches thrown in 5th inning.

Good to get back to winning, especially with the Reds looking like they'll knock off the Cards again tonight. First place should be Milwaukee's again by the end of the night, barring a bullpen implosion in the last couple innings from the Reds.
