No, he is incredibly slow. Whenever he hits a grounder that seems to be a for sure infield hit for most guys, he is usually out by at least a step.

Manny Parra threw four, maybe five strikes in that at-bat. He was getting squeezed. He's not "up to his old ways" or a "mental midget" today. Chipper's clearly liking what he sees against Parra, and when the ump narrows the strike zone like that, he better hope Chipper puts a bad swing on it.
