I thought that call to Gamel was probably a strike. There have definitely been several calls a lot worse than that one.

Stetter's on some kind of hot streak right now.

 

The offense has been frustrating, but at least they've been finding ways to get guys on base. At this rate you'd have to figure they'll find a way to get someone across in this game, but three's looking a little tricky.

Wow, if I was at this game. I'd go straight to the Pro Shop and get myself a Stetter jersey. He's been great lately. Maybe he can share his secret with the rest of the team.

Why is the ground rule double rule never called? If the runner would have scored the ump is supposed to give him the run, yet I've literally never seen it called.
Rule 7.05(f)

 

[Each runner can advance] "Two bases, if a fair ball bounces or is deflected into the stands outside the first or third base foul lines; or if it goes through or under a field fence, or through or under a scoreboard, or through or under shrubbery or vines on the fence; or if it sticks in such fence, scoreboard, shrubbery or vines;"

 

According to Baseball Reference, only when there is fan interference can the ump use his judgment on whether or not to award the runner that extra base.

Alright, Corey, please just hit the ball in the air. It'd be nice to get a run across, but it'd be nicer to avoid a double play.
