Heard TH on the Dlist and Macha said that he started McGehee because RHers are actually hitting Baker better than LHers. Just be thankful it's not Bill Hall out there.

The only things I can think of is he is maybe more concerned with defense for the day game as hitting is tougher or else it's just giving Gamel the day game after night game off. It is also possible he is reacting to the pitcher being more effective against left handed batters than right (at least so far this year).
