2009-07-21 Brewers (Looper) at Pittsburgh (Vasquez) : 6:05 PM CT [Brewers win, 2-0]

[Jofis11ep]

That was big for Looper to get through that sixth. He wasn't looking great at the beginning of the inning... Let's get him some runs!! Edited July 21, 2009 by Jofis11ep

[brewdude15]

True. You guys make some good points.

I can't believe it's already the 7th inning. Talk about pitching battle...*knock on wood*

[PrinceEatMeat]

Prince! Comes through yet again!

[thablingster]

So, I believe Prince wants to know: "who is Delwyn Young?"

Keep driving in those runs, Prince.

[brewdude15]

WHAT A PLAY BY CAMMY!!!! WEB GEM OF THE NIGHT!

[Jofis11ep]

I heart Mike Cameron.... he may be frustrating at the plate sometimes but wow he helps us defensively

[dlk9s]

I think I'm more shocked that Hardy just got an infield single than I would be if Kendall hit a homer.

[derflotr]

What on earth was that?

[SeriesFinale]

I think I'm more shocked that Hardy just got an infield single than I would be if Kendall hit a homer.

Fitting that he should then be caught stealing...all is right in the world after all?

[brewdude15]

No idea, but it sure was ugly.

[SheetsCyYoung04]

For not wanting to make outs on the basepath, we sure make alot of outs on the basepaths.

[Schlitz001]

The Pirates must have stolen the sign to get Hardy there.

And it seems to me like Hardy hits 75% of his balls in 2 places; groundball to SS or pop-up to the 2B. I'd like to see a spray chart for him.

[jeffy]

They gotta be stealing signs, don't they? Why in the world would anyone pitchout with Hardy on base?

[razzzorsharp]

Lopez hurt himself, yuck.

[thablingster]

Lopez out of the game with hamstring tightness. Rest it up, rub it out and have him ready for tomorrow.

[packfan79]

I was assuming injury with Hall in there hopefully its only precautionary.

[derflotr]

Braden kept the ball in the yard tonight. He did exactly what everyone was hoping he'd do. Pretty boring win. I LOVE boring wins.

[Marc Newfield of Dreams]

Nice win tonight, tomorrow is huge.

Too many times in the last two months they've had a nice win like this and then lost the next two. Start stringing a couple together, they'll need all the momentum they can get going into the ATL series. Tough pitching matchups this weekend.

[Invader3K]

Brewers haven't won back to back since the end of June against the Mets, so winning tomorrow would be huge.

[Mase]

BTN, for the second time now, has just compared the Cards, Cubs, and Astros about who will win the Central. Shouldn't we at least be in the conversation?

[brewdude15]

No, because ESPN hates Milwaukee.

[derflotr]

Wisconsin people don't watch TV. We're all eating cheese and getting hammered.

[owbc]

I'm hoping for about a 5 hour rain delay tomorrow so that it becomes a night game.

Wait, we're not one of those teams? That's the whole division right there.

I noticed during the All Star break during one of those "second half previews" they talked up the Reds and barely mentioned the Brewers at all, as far as the NL Central. I think they really believe we won't be able to hang on...or they just hate Milwaukee. Eating cheese and getting hammered does sound better than watching most of the four letter network's programming, though.
