I'm trying to follow on brewers.com and have been looking at the Stay Tuned window for about five minutes. Has it not begun yet?

Nope not yet, but it should be in a few minutes.

Same thing for 620wtmj.com. The GreenHouse on now, but promising to go to the press conference when it starts. The Big Unit just mentioned that they will also have "an exclusive with Doug Melvin following the press conference."

Ah, bensheeps, I was thinking of you this morning when I finally stumbled across the news.

Presser underway now...

Yes it is a sad day in the house today. Hoping everything done today turns out for the best.

(Not sure what I'll wear to the game tomorrow...one more day of the Hall jersey as a send off to Bill?)

You can listen live on espnmilwaukee.com. Also, word is the presser is being delayed because Melvin and Macha are still in a meeting.

Melvin sounds depressed. I thought this comment was interesting.

"Maybe I should feel nervous. You never know in this business."

It sounds like it pains Macha just thinking about playing Escobar. How much sense does it make to have a manager that does not want to play young players on a team that has to rely on it's prospects as heavily as the Brewers do? Escobar not playing tonight.

There's nothing wrong with sitting Escobar tonight. Macha made it sound like if it wasn't for DM telling him he expects Escobar to play atleast 4 times a week, he wouldn't.

"We should've had this in the dugout."

What was that about? Macha mad at someone?

I was attempting to multi-task while listening, but that also stuck out for me and I wonder what the context was.

It's somewhat understandable not starting Escobar tonight, given he has to travel today, etc. It sounded like he'll definitely start tomorrow though.
Macha said Escobar won't start tonight. He said he'll start tomorrow. He said he'll play against left-handed pitching and then will look at each day.

It sounds like the Gamel situation all over again to me.
