Any ideas for Christmas presents out there?

My parents are soon to be retired and soon to be grandparents.

I've already got a few things for my parents. Now looking for something under $50 for my mom or maybe $80-$90 as a joint present for both of my parents.

They really dont have high expectations. I have got them huge things in the past and they dont seem to care. They have the same reaction as when I give them a card or if I buy them a new TV.

Coffee Drinkers?

My folks are getting a new french press.

If she runs excavator/backhoe for work/hobby you could buy her a camera to mount on the machine to look into the trucks. Voyager makes a nice one. My Dad is gonna love his!

My mom always liked earrings. They're simple, they don't take up much space, and having more than one pair isn't an issue.

As long as your parents don't already have one, I like the digital frame idea.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

I purchased a digital frame for my parents last year. I thought it was a great idea, but I notice that they don't use it. They have basically taken a physical picture and placed it over the screen. Not sure if they are distracted by the constantly changing picture or what. Or, maybe it stopped working and they don't want to tell me. My parents are now both in their late 70's, but my mom is pretty tech savy for her age. So, I'm not getting their behavior when it comes to this gift.

I never have any idea what to get my mom or dad. Both retired and older. I always end up getting them the same thing....gift certificates. Just once, I would like to come up with something a bit more creative, I just don't know what.

i got the digital picture frame for my mom a couple years ago. she only turns it on occasionally (if ever). i don't really get it either cuz she loaded a bunch of pictures onto it and stuff. i have a feeling she maybe just didn't want to leave it on/plugged in all them time, and she never really thinks/remembers to plug it in anymore

i just got a digital picture frame for my girlfriend and gave it to her on her birthday, and she likes it a lot and leaves it on all the time. so i guess it kinda depends on the person. my girlfriend is really into pictures and that kind of stuff.

My Mom's gift is easy every year. We get a picture taken of all the grandkids...first year we did it, she was beyond thrilled...we saw tears.

Now, she comes along and picks out the clothes. Whatever, as long as she's happy.
