Seriously? A no-trade clause for this guy at 36? If I'm a Tigers fan, I'm pretty pissed that Granderson was traded.

Granderson would have only made $5.5 mill in 2010. This just seems like such a stupid deal.

Overpay, but it's only one year. I don't quite get what Detroit is trying to accomplish with this.

Moving from Yankee Stadium to Comerica Park and being a year older is going to kill his offense. His defense is terrible and his arm is worse. It's only one year but still an overpay that makes no sense at all.

I don't think a no trade deal on a one year contract is that big of a deal. Especially compared with the fact that the Brewers gave Suppan a two year no trade clause - not that they could have traded him anyway, but I digress.

I think he'll be the Tigers' DH. Guillen--Jackson--Ordóñez is the likely OF alignment.
