Jimenez isn't your average pitcher thou.

 

Even thou I hate bunting, I would like to see Gomez bunt once per game. Especially with Weeks on 1st and no out.

Not to be a downer this early, but I have a feeling that double-play might happen a lot when you have Gomez in the 2 spot.

 

But he's so fast! You have to hit him 2nd!

I'm trying to keep an open mind, but Edmonds didn't help win himself over to me with that K.

Ditto. Batting Edmonds at all, not to mention 5th is interesting.

Neither one of them have seen him before. Edmonds, maybe he did. You can't judge these guys for how they do against him.

 

(Can you tell I have Jimenez on one of my teams. I love watching this kid pitch.)

I agree with you chad. I think escobar will be in there by May.
Escobar is 53% GB/PA in his major league at bats and Gomez is 41% in GB/PA. Small sample size, but I think Escobar would be just as prone to the groundout DP.

Yeah, I didn't want it to come off like I was throwing them under the bus this early, but I suppose it did.

 

Well, looks like we're gonna have to dig some out against Jimenez at any rate.
