I only watched about a half hour of the game, but I listened to the rest. Sure seems like we hit the ball hard but just had some bad luck all day.

Yeah. We hit just fine, just couldn't get the big one with guys on base. Had several line shots caught, too.

Even though the Crew lost, there were definitely some things to get excited about. Weeks, Gomez, Fielder, even McGehee looked good at the plate. Gallardo rebounded decently after a shaky first few innings. I love Braun, but I hope Machs chews his butt out for not running out of the box on that double.

it says that the pitcher was on deck and Hart is the only right-handed hitter on the bench. If Hart hits for Edmonds then you have to use another pinch hitter, who would be left-handed anyway, for the pitcher. You lose one of your pinch hitters and a left-handed batter has to hit anyway.
