This HD chanel popped up on Time Warner a couple of months ago (at least that's when I noticed it). I love it. Concerts, unplugged material, old footage (last night they had on some black and white Bob Dylan documentary type thing from the 60's). It kind of reminds me of MTV when they use to play music videos. Imagine that..playing music on Music TV. Then "Remote Control" and "The Real World" began airing and everything went downhill after that.

Our next door neighbor recently bought his first snowblower. He is so excited to have one that in each of the three snowfalls Madison has had in the last week, he has snowblown not only his sidewalk and driveway, but also our sidewalks (we have a corner lot) and driveway, and the sidewalk of the neighbor on the other side of us, around the corner from him.

This does not bug me, and would not bug me if his enthusiasm continues.

My PS3 broke on Monday, was shipped to Sony on Tuesday, they shipped a replacement on Wednesday and it arrived here today. Now as long as it works... Ratchet and Clank Future awaits.

More good news... a liquor store by my house is closing to move to a new location and they have all their prices greatly reduced. I just got a liter of Johnnie Walker Black for $25. Yay!

some of you already know my great disdain for the city of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Well, tonight is my last night living here. It's only a half-hour away, but I'm moving to Greensboro tomorrow.

It's my birthday and the Brewers are playing today. Granted, spring training, but I don't think there has been a Brewer game on February 25 before. Thanks, World Baseball Classic!

 

Edit: Three of my student employees collaborated last night to make a dozen cupcakes for my birthday, some looking like baseballs (white icing with red trim) and the others Brewers-themed (yellow icing/blue sugar and blue icing/yellow sugar). Plus a homemade card. This day is getting sweeter and sweeter (literally and figuratively).

I scored tickets to see Wilco at the Pabst Theater after being shut out of the pre-sale. The 2 shows sold out in 20 minutes. Those are two things that are definitely NOT bugging me.

Today the Girl Scout Cookies were delivered to the office and I'll be in heaven for the next 2.5 days, as I do well if they last me that long. I seem to find myself snacking on them if they are anywhere near me.

My roommate and I signed up for Charter's cable and internet service when we moved into our apartment about 7 months ago. At the time we both couldn't afford expanded cable so we signed up for a 6 month deal for basic cable and internet. That deal ran out last month and last night my roommate called and upgraded us to expanded cable because it was only about 15 dollars more per month than the non-deal basic cable and internet. Needless to say, this is not bugging me. Right in time for baseball season. Moreover, after the cableguy had left, I turned on the TV to check out the new set up. I didn't realize we were going to be getting MLB network. So, bonus. Not only that but when I turned to the MLB network this afternoon is was during the 10th inning of the replay of the DR/Netherlands game. What a good day.

My son just spent 3 days at Children's hospital in Milwaukee. I can't say enough good things about the people that work at that place and the care that my son received while he was there.

I just purchased a Mitch Stetter jersey. I will be the only one in Miller Park to have one and thats fine with me. I befriended him during spring training this week and hopefully he still remembers my name come April. Needless to say, I am giddy and can't wait till my jersey arrives. It could take up to 3 weeks because it has to be made.

It seems I post in this thread after every concert I go to, but seeing Wilco at the Pabst last night was a real treat. Man, that second balcony is steep though.
