This offense is terrible.

Well, more of the same, poor management of a pitcher by Macha and a bullpen implosion. The day of reckoning is drawing nearer by the minute.

Despite the losses, I still sit until the end, hoping for a comeback. It's an 0-5 homestand but the TV will be on at 7:00 sharp tomorrow. Maybe I should cancel cable.

While today's game was no fun to watch, on FS WI right now they are showing a Brewers Classic. It's a good one, from 2005 vs the Twins. The game when Fielder and Weeks both hit their 1st career HR's and Braun was interviewed in the booth after being drafted and signing.

Clearly, had Macha gone to our shutdown bullpen earlier, we would have won this game.

Oof.

I was there yesterday and couldn't believe Macha let Narveson go 130 pitches, and with no one warming up until right before he hooked him. I understand the bind Macha is in. I think he was possibly trying to send a message to the starters that they had to go longer in their starts. But when a guy was just put into the rotation a couple weeks ago, that's absolutely the wrong pitcher to do that with. If you want to have Doug Davis pitch 130, fine, he can probably handle it...but Narveson is basically a top 3 pitcher in our rotation right now, and you just can't let him go that long so early in the season.

I was at 3 games this week and saw some terrible Brewers baseball. If people are wondering why the crowds are shrinking and lifeless, I have pretty good evidence as to why first hand.

Gameday still has it as a strike (on the fuzzy corner) but in reality, the pitch was an obvious strike.
