Any chance Weeks gets a day off tonight, even if its just defensively?

For god sake, I hope so. Ken Macha seems to be the only person on earth who thinks he should be playing this much.

I think we should at least look at moving him down in the order if Macha is hell bent on trying to make him an ironman.

Per A.M.-

As of 3:30 p.m. CT the Brewers have not made a formal roster move to activate Carlos Gomez from the 15-day disabled list, but he's in the starting lineup against the Twins for the opener of a three-game Interleague Series. Casey McGehee will serve as the designated hitter, a chance to rest his surgically-repaired knee.

Rickie Weeks 2B

Carlos Gomez CF

Ryan Braun LF

Prince Fielder 1B

Casey McGehee DH

Corey Hart RF

Craig Counsell 3B

George Kottaras C

Alcides Escobar SS

At least Rickie is in there again!

Rickie needs an entire day or days off without playing period.

I like McGehee DH'ing and getting Counsell in the lineup.

Don't like Gomez batting 2nd, Counsell should be 2nd and Gomez should be 7th. But I'm just glad to have Carlos back roaming in CF.

Looks like Macha has been reading this thread...Weeks now on the bench for Inglett according to AW. New lineup:

BREWERS

2B Joe Inglett

CF Carlos Gomez

LF Ryan Braun

1B Prince Fielder

DH Casey McGehee

RF Corey Hart

3B Craig Counsell

C George Kottaras

SS Alcides Escobar

Weird, TH just posted this lineup:

Ah, beaten by So Cal.

At least Gomez gets Escobar out of the 2 hole. He sure was struggling there.

What a lunatic.

Macha has always said the players' production writes the lineup. What a load of crap. He's sat down Esco for 1-10 stretches. Rickie has had about 10, 1 for 10s in a row now and he's still in there. Not to mention his injury history.

Edit: Yep, he's been reading the thread obviously. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I'm assuming this is the day off we've been waiting two weeks for, but since it was a late change it does pose the question: Is there anything wrong with Rickie? I doubt it, but just askin'. It's gotta be Macha reading the board. While we have him...

Hi Ken

Thanks for reading. There may be a few other things you may want to peruse while you are here. You aren't logged in as sheethead are you? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

That was my concern when I first saw the revised lineup. I sure hope not.

Wonder what the Bush pitch count will be in the 1st? IIRC, the Twins have jumped on Bush early the past two seasons, knowing he tries to get ahead early.

At least Braunie insured that the Brewers worked Blackburn for more than 5 pitches.

I can hear the Brewer fans in Minnesota. Also, Prince needs to lower his hands more, he always does well when his hands are lowered. Something I have noticed.
