I think we all kind of hoped Eric Arnett's DL stint was a mercy phantom injury and that his year was over, but that's not the case: Arnett was activated today, with Nick Bucci, who was a late scratch from his start yesterday, heading to the DL. As usual, please discuss Arnett in the Arnett thread.

At Huntsville, catcher Dayton Buller was placed on the disabled list, retroactive to August 25. To fill the roster spot, catcher Patrick Arlis was activated from the disabled list.

In order to make room for the return of Cutter Dykstra (making sure he was OK after beaning), INF Connor Lind was placed on Wisconsin's 7-day DL.

RHP Eduard Reyes, who pitched all season for the DSL Brewers at age 19, was suspended for 50 games for steroid use. Because the DSL has a shortened schedule (the DSL Brewers played 71 games this year), he won't be able to get any substantial game action until 2012--if the Brewers keep him around at all.

LHP Dan Merklinger was promoted to Nashville from BC to finish out the year, and LHP/folk hero Dexter Bobo moves up from the AZL Brewers to BC to take Merk's place.

RHP Nick Bucci is activated from the 7-day DL today to make the start for Wisconsin. To make room, LHP Efrain Nieves has been placed on the Temporary Inactive List.

With the AZL season over, the following players were promoted to Helena to finish out the Pioneer League season: LHP Charly Bashara, RHP Jose Sanchez, C Tyler Roberts, IF Nick Shaw, and OF Kenny Allison. RHP Alex Periard will also continue his injury rehab at Helena.

Wow, Merklinger skips AA? Should we read anything into that or is it just because Nashville's pen has been raided by the big league club?

I think Nashville having back to back doubleheaders probably had something to do with it.

LHP Chris Waters activated off the DL for Nashville, so we may see him this weekend.

To make room for IF Connor Lind and LHP Efrain Nieves, both of whom returned yesterday (from the DL and Temp. Inactive list, respectively), RHP Maverick Lasker and LHP Del Howell, who won't pitch again this year, were shuffled to the AZL Brewers roster in a paper move.

The long road for Mark Rogers reaches an apex this week in Milwaukee -- we hear a formal activation will come this week, likely Friday.
