In terms of Zelda, at first the controls felt tacked on and there were times I wished I could just push a button instead of swinging the controller. After some time though, it really does become natural. The aiming system is amazing also. I can pick guys off with arrows while riding around on Epona full speed with no trouble.

I also second what Brian was saying about holding the nunchuck attachment. It is difficult to describe, but I usually lean back on my couch and hold the nunchuck against my body facing to the right. It is really comfortable and completely impossible with a regular controller.

Anyone have a suggestion on where to find one around Milwaukee this week/weekend?

hi everybody,

I just have one quick question about Zelda:

How do you put the honey (or whatever that stuff is) on the hook? Whenever I try, Link just drinks the honey.

If someone could help me out, I would really appreciate it. It's been frustrating.

Other than that though, the game has been really fun. I finally got some time to play it yesteday and it is easily one of the best games I've played.

For whatever reason, that line is really funny.

Target is getting a shipment in on the 17th.

I called Target and they said they didnt and wouldnt know till Sunday. I then asked if I would know on Saturday night and they said no, that I just had to drive in and check ( I live more than a half an hour away). ANy information would be great on this matter. Wondering if you work there or how you found out?

They're always gonna say they don't know because they don't want to give someone a figure and then the truck crashes on the way there and everyone gets irate and freaks out because "they were lied to".

It seems pretty concrete that shipments WILL be there Sunday at major outlets. Based on everything I have read, however, Best Buy is the best place to go, because their shipments have tended to be consistently large, where some other places sometimes get 5 or 6. I bought mine there and they handled it very smoothly and professionally.

What I heard from Target was that it was being held at the distribution center and being sent out so they have stock for the ad this Sunday. Best Buy has been holding them to have at least 25 per store for Sunday (some rumors say 40)

Toys R Us and Circuit City have already confirmed they will have ads this Sunday for the Wii. If they are getting them it is safe to say the major chains like Target, Best Buy, and Wal-Mart will receive them as well.

I'm thinking of showing up early somewhere, but I want to make a few calls first to try to see what's up. Hitting a 24-hour Walmart at midnight would be nicer than early morning waiting, but it's hard to count on them for much.

RLuz, how'd you confirm it? I believe you, and I've seen the Wii Seeker site has had all these stores down for a 12/17 shipment for about a week now. I'm hoping to pin one down along with Madden. Even with rougher graphics than the other two new systems, the price is right, the price on the games is right, and I'm excited that somebody's trying to reverse the Learn-these-14-buttons approach to these games. I've never liked Zelda but it sounds like everyone's uniformly blown away, and I might have to look into it more closely.

If anyone's talked to any managers or workers willing to stand behind any kind of timeframe, how'd you do it? I'm not sure if everyone's afraid of possibly telling a customer some wrong information, but no one I've talked to here in Indiana will stand behind anything except "If they send'em, we'll put'em out."

Went to a best buy and 2 Targets this morning. Best Buy had the most systems, and they only had 18.

They apparently gave out tickets for them at 6:30 AM... even though the store didn't open until 8.

Finally have a Wii. Tried out Wii Sports for awhile before the Packer game, and I'll finally get to play my copy of Zelda later this afternoon.

Places gave out tickets early because people waited all night, and once you had a ticket, you could at least go get breakfast or something instead of holding down til the store opened.

First in line at a Circuit City here in Indiana with 6 of them and all hooked up, this is crazy! It was tough at first for me to get used to the controls in Madden, but baseball blew my mind even with how simple it is. Haven't tried golf or boxing yet.

Had to go over to Best Buy to try to secure a second Wiimote that Circuit City didn't have, and caught the end of a scene where about twice as many people waited there as should have waited. It's so stupid that they'd say, "15+" while Circuit City said "6".

One kid was just about screaming because he was one of the first people without the system, while "kind souls" were out in the parking lot offering to sell theirs for a profit. Nice Xmas spirit. I can see it'd be tempting to try to flip it and make some money for a night outside, but once we got it home and played it we knew we made the right call.

I can only imagine where they'll take it as they improve on the launch games and connectivity, and they're getting Wii Forecast up on Wednesday! My out-of-shape arm hurts already.

Anyone tearing through the Virtual Console?

After you see your Mii slugging, those old games seem somewhat pathetic. And it'd be really convenient to have them saved on your system, but the prices are still a little high for me for the games I'd want, think I'll hang on for a while. They want $8 for Sonic 1, but we recently got the GC Mega Collection with Sonic 2, 3, & Knuckles and others for $20.

I don't know if I would've gone for the wireless adapter if I needed it, but lucky it picked up my signal all right.

The wife got one this morning at EB Games in Sheboygan as well as Zelda and Secon Opinon (As well as an extra remote). She went to target at 6:30 and was number 20 in line (18 were sold), then went to Gamestop where she couldn't get one (4 only). She then went to the mall for the off chance that EB had some to which they had 6 and she was fourth. She also could have got a PS3 but declined. Now I have to wait till Christmas to play.

See, what you have to convince her now is that you should really make sure it works while you still have a chance to get a replacement before Christmas

There's certainly nothing more wrong about selling your system than taking it home and keeping it.

Well they are preying upon an artificially created market value.

Nintendo and the other console makers puposely use a slow roll-out to not only work out the bugs in the system and potential manufactoring issues, but to help stimulate buzz, which leads to an artificially inflated market value. Because Nintendo is not directly profiting from this artificial market their is nothing wrong with them using this industry standard format.

Now if Nintendo was the one selling systems for inflated prices on eBay it would most certainly be illegal, hello Enron, but since it is a 3rd party doing it it is merely borderline unethical and immoral.

We aren't all capitalist pigs like you Al. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
