He didn't even react after he hit the ground on that throw to get Fowler. Maybe he didn't know until he threw the pitch to Giambi? Who knows.

The third shooter completely missed the net on penalty kicks, that is worse than air balling a free throw to tie the game in overtime

That WWC game was a classic. It's too bad the US lost but it's not nice to generalize about women's sports.

Not even close. Basketball players practice free throwing every day. Penalty kicks are just a tiny part of soccer skills.

If you generalize about women's sports you generally end up feeling like a huge dope when you have a daughter that plays varsity sports in HS. Either that or you just end up being a miserable parent.
