trwi7]LOL at that throw.

He clearly thought that the ump was weeks or YunE. Not a good play, but makes the throw look less silly. I'll mis Prince's bat but not his glove. A man born to be a DH.

Wolf definitely thought the umpire was Betancourt and the scoring decision on Prince's misplay was terrible, how is that possibly a hit.

At least they got a DP to help limit the damage.

Ever notice how Prince stretches for the ball on plays when he doesn't need to but doesn't on the plays he does need to?

Even if Wolf did think the ump was Betancourt, 2nd base has been in the same location for many years now. Know the situation and who is running to 2nd. He had plenty of time to make the throw.

Now there is a real argument against wearing the navy blue jerseys. If we're in the road greys, no way Wolf confuses the umpire with Yuni. Shame on all of us for not thinking of that point in the uniform discussion thread a few weeks back.

He also breaks the first rule you're taught as a little league first baseman: he starts his stretch before the ball is thrown, so if it's a wide throw, he's hung out to dry and can't adjust to it.

I think Prince sidling up right next to Wolf caused him to rush the throw and he got confused. Follow it up with another error (should have been) and Prince continues to hurt this team on defense. I don't think I've ever seen him play so poorly in the field. It's almost like he doesn't care.

It's little things like that have always drove me nuts with him. The worst was a couple of weeks back when Lucroy picked up ball with his momentum carrying him into foul territory but Prince still setup on the fair side of the bag and had no way to recover to catch Lucroy's throw as it sailed into RF. I have no idea why he'll predetermine the angle that the ball is going to come in prior to the throw on occasion. Thankfully his bat is extremely valuable.

This is why you don't send Morgan in the first. We had Collmenter on the ropes with one of our best hitter on deck. Make a dumb call to try to score Morgan who ends up being out by 4 steps. Now the guy is cruising and making it look easy. It is never in the stats, but those are plays that change the course of a game.

Wow another bad throw from Fielder almost cost us.
This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.
