Ticket Surcharges

Wow. I hadn't had to order tickets over the phone for awhile.

 

$3.25 Ticket Charge + $3 order charge

 

For 4 tickets that is an extra $16. I assume there would be a shipping charge of something like $5 to make it $21 just to order tickets that have jumped up substantially. I usually just get my tickets at the gate, but with ticket demands going up it is harder to get the tickets I want.

 

Now someone needs to explain what a $3.25 ticket charge is. Isn't the price of the ticket the charge. I can see a processing fee of $3, but then what is the difference.

 

I know they have always had these charges, but it seems it keeps going up every year and nobody complains.

 

Ok, done with my rant. I will take my chances at the stadium. I guess that is the price to pay for a good team.

The fees we pay are actually less than the teams that go through ticket master and the brewers are one of the teams left that have their own phone center actually at the stadium. There is a lot that goes into the operation of a place like that I imagine. I'd way rather have someone to call on site there than talk to someone in California about questions regarding the brewers

I don't remember the specifics, but I do know that it was cheaper to order 4 tickets over the phone than it was to order them online, earlier in the year. And the people are great.

Baseball ticket surcharges are nothing compared to concert ticket surcharges. Like that Rage Against the Machine concert at Alpine - each ticket carries a $12 "convenience charge", and each order carries a $5 "processing fee".

Season ticket holders are charged one fee per order. That might be one of the reasons it isn't included in the price.

Ah it is no big deal. I was just surprised how much it has gone up. I remember when it used to be $1.25 per ticket and no "order charge".

Yeah that was last year. Actually I think it was $2 per ticket last year with no other charges.

I hate ticket charges. Every ticket to every event now carries a fee that can be 25% in some case. Wait a minute, you're charging me to buy something from you? That makes no friggin' sense. Stop thinking you're tricking me and just charge $27 instead of calling it an $18 ticket with $9 in fees.

phone service fees have been the same since miller park opened, the per order fee went up a quarter this year. The only change has been that the cheaper tickets online were formerly 2 dollars and they are now all 3 per ticket
