2011-07-30 Astros (Happ) at Brewers (Gallardo) - [Brewers win, 6-2]

Good lord, is ESPN Gamecast's strike zone terrible (at least in the Beta version). It basically represents the center of the zone, not the whole thing.

EDIT: Correction. I actually have no idea what ESPN's strike zone is trying to approximate.

A 20-some pitch, 1-2-3 inning for Yo.

That shouldn't be frustrating, but, on some level, it is. Still, hopefully he can go deep into the game tonight. And be the recipient of much run support.

Forget about "clearing the pitcher" with Yo!

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Here's to hoping he can flash enough glove and bat to enamored Roeneicke at SS!
I probably would prefer that RR gets excited about him at 3rd

I think Lopez is the one who is playing for the 3B job

Hopefully Hairston can come in and make an impression on Roenicke. I hate having higher expectations when the pitcher is at the plate (Gallardo anyways) than the starting shortstop.

A pretty bad AB from Lopez. Not much better from McGehee, but at least he hit it hard.

Hate leaving runs on the table like that.

McGehee hit the snot out of that ball, I'd say it was a pretty good AB.

Maybe true. I thought he missed a couple of pitches, however. Strike one may have been up and out of the zone, and strike two looked like a bit of a hanger. Really thought he should have been able to do something there. Still, certainly a bit unlucky.

Barmes not out there . . .

Hmmmm.

Send him over to our dugout, Doug. Sounds like the Cards are getting Furcol

I thought I read somewhere that the Astros said Barmes was untouchable. Which of course doesn't make any sense, but then again, it's Ed Wade.
