As bad as RRR can be sometimes, you really have to question TLR. Jay and Patterson, the latter of whom has no business anywhere a major league starting lineup to begin with, are both lefties and starting against Wolf. Yet Berkman, a switch hitter, is riding the bench. Yeah, I know Berkman is not as good as a righty, but he has to be better than Patterson, especially against a LHP.

TLR is really mostly beyond reproach, though. All you have to do is look at his record. Berkman probably could use the day off, I guess.

well that was disappointing. again we just can't seem to deliver the big blow with the bases loaded!

Well, at least we scored one. Better than our previous attempts with the bases loaded against the Cards. Baby steps.

Sometimes it is hard to score runs.

Like when you have a garbage hitter hacking at everything when the pitcher can't throw strikes.

According to mlb.com gamecast, Prince had a bad AB swinging at balls when Westbrook was struggling to throw strikes. So of course, Betancourt does the same. Sure is nice that he is actually hitting but it still is super frustrating that he doesn't really understand the value of a walk.

we should probably walk Pujols here.

I was able to watch Prince's AB on MLB Network. He didn't swing at anything bad. The one he foul tipped may have been just off the plate and I suppose he probably shouldn't have swung at it, but it's not like he was flailing.

I really hope they don't move everyone up in the rotation. With as well as everyone's been going, I would think it would be best to let them keep rolling. (plus I was really looking forward to seeing Marcum on Sunday, haha).

I feel like George has a good approach at the plate just about every time. I know his numbers don't show it but I feel better about his approach than most on our team.
