I want Green to bat for McGehee in the bottom of the 9th.

And I want my kids to quit grinding cracker crumbs into the carpet. I bet neither one of us gets what we want tonight.

Taylor Green better get an at bat for either Casey or Yuni in the 9th or I may begin to hemorrhage.

you know he wont

You mean for Yuni right?

He plays SS?
Robin Yount - “But what I'd really like to tell you is I never dreamed of being in the Hall of Fame. Standing here with all these great players was beyond any of my dreams.”

Hairston does. Although you can always substitute in the event of a tie.

Who worries about defense when you have the opposing team trying to convert a save?

I guess that depends on how you define "plays". I mean, Yuni "plays" SS. Perhaps Taylor Green also "plays" SS.

Maybe Estrada is in because a) he could use the work and b) if it goes extras, we don't have to burn another pitcher for a couple innings.

Let's play for extras after we tie it up (knockonwood).

Right now, it's the 9th versus your biggest divisional rival. Play for right now.

When Saito and Hawkins were fresh, bringning in Estrada was very questionable. I can see trying to give KRod and Axford some rest but going to the worst pitcher in your bullpen in a one run game... simply inexplicable.

Give him one or two more batters I guess. He isn't getting hit hard and that first one to Molina could have been had by a good number of Shortstops.

As far as the bottom half, it would be nice if we saw Fielder, McGahee, and Green with CC taking over in short if it's tied.

I don't think Estrada is much worse than Hawkins and Saito but he needs to be more aggressive against the lesser batters here. Theriot should be his last batter no matter what.

Well, that was nerve-racking.
This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

Does anyone else fell like we are about to go on a long losing streak?

You win for most ridiculous comment of the season.

Biggest culprits if we lose tonight, in order:

1. Luck

2. Prince Fielder

3. Ron Roenicke

4. Yuniesky Betancourt

5. Casey McGehee

I'm sorry, but how is RR a bigger culprit than guys like Lucroy, Braun, Betancourt, Casey that are hit-less tonight?

Whew, I thought he had a better chance at getting the out at 1st.

If it gets to Betancourt, Roenicke better have Green ready or it's another screw-up for him tonight.
