A quick word in advance of tonight's game:

I think most everyone who participated in or even just read Tuesday's IGT learned how quickly an issue can become white-hot, for both moderators and posters. We know this is an emotionally-charged series (both rival-wise and standings-wise), but keep the discussion civil; and don't resort to personal insults and name-calling, whether directed at Brewers who probably will never see this thread or posters and moderators who will. We're all ultimately on the same side, and unless one of you is a super-secret insider, we all have the same (nonexistent) level of influence over the path the Brewers take to succeed.

Besides, I don't want to get back from MP at 1:00 AM and not be able to post in the IGT because it's locked.

Thanks for your attention, and let's all use the Reset button and hope for a happier game tonight.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

What's a proof-positive way to smooth over the ugliness of last night's IGT? The semi-annual haiku In-Game Thread! (Unless it has been shelved permanently.) Perhaps for tomorrow's finale? It's pretty hard to get angry at each other when you are forced to post in the 5-7-5 format.

Even Hart got a day off when he banged his finger in Houston. Tonight would have been the perfect opportunity with Yuni in an 0-22 slump. Ah well, hopefully he busts out of it and gets some hits.

I call a double and a homer.

Casey McGehee is 0-8 vs Westbrook in his career, to RRR that should mean a Taylor Green start. Of course in reality McGehee's season .238/.293/.357 line should mean a Taylor Green start also.

I'm not convinced that Green is our panacea at 3B, but I at least expected him to get a few AB by now. Hopefully he at least gets a PH opportunity tonight.

On my way to the Keg, and I was really hoping to see Green's first MLB start. I guess it's hard to keep a guy batting .238 with no success vs the opposing pitcher out of the lineup though. Free Taylor Green.

Well, this proves how much of an idiot Roenicke is. Apparently Yuni doesn't need to sit, and he didn't use Counsell to bunt because that would've left Green as the only hitter left. He didn't want his first at-bat to be in a key situation. So hey Ron, why did you then go on to use Counsell to pinch-run, which left Green as the only one on the bench anyway. Stupid.

On the Yuni tip, Adam McCalvy tweeted the following which I found interesting:

"Fun with numbers: Yuni's hot streak from 7/14-8/11 fueled by good luck

(.410 BABIP). His cold streak since fueled by bad luck (.129 BABIP)."

LOL, regression to the mean. Get a win tonight and all is well.

Lemurs used to work wonders.

Since I expected Roenicke to give Green garbage for playing time unless he hits like crazy, I can't be too upset. However, someone needs to explain to Roenicke that if you persist with the low pressure ABs only it is completely self defeating. He had a chance to break him in under less than pressure packed circumstances on Sunday...

As of now there are still some tickets left, don't think we will have 40,000 there tonight, it kind of makes sense since school starts tomorrow.

Of course, the one night I'm not at the game.... yuku seems to be acting up!
