I am still miffed that they have not gone up and in on Pujols this series.

LaRussa won way back when when he complained about Saito going up and in. Since then they have changed their approach and let him get his hands out and he has punished the Brewers.

I understand not wanting to leave it over the plate but then error on the side of caution and go in more on Pujols, if you hit him, that happens.

Can't really get upset. They're the better team in ALL phases. How can you expect to win?
Except for starting pitching and bullpen.

No, I said "all." How has our SP been better? And their bullpen has been lights-out.
You said better team. Not that they've played better this series. The Brewers have better SP and bullpen than the Cards, which they proved over an entire season.

Besides, the Cards SP has been bad this series.

You didn't say they have been the better team. You said "are." The best team doesn't always win in the postseason because it's such a small sample. And seriously dude, how can you even enjoy being a fan with your attitude? Yes it's frustrating but they made it to the NLCS and there's still 2 games left at home, where they've been great all year. It seems like everything you post is negative, I don't get how you can enjoy baseball.
This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

Well I think we can beat Jackson on Sunday; Marcum and the defense might decide otherwise.

It just seems wrong that this series has followed the home field advantage course; yet the home team has to play from a hole going home. I'll try to stay optimistic; really we only have to win one home game to force a winner take all. Certainly doable. Who knows maybe Jackson will wet the bed and Marcum will figure something out. Baseball is funny that way.

there play in AZ was much worse than in STL and they still pulled it out. true we need 2 wins now, but we need to out hit the cards in game 6 and hope Yo can shut them down in game 7. still very doable.....

I sure hope they are embarrased after this display. The post game presser with RR should be something worth watching.

Good news is that we won't have to watch this pathetic away baseball again until Game #3 of the World Series.................. Or next April

Being better over 162 gets you a ticket to play, same as the Cardinals got. Nobody cares who is better over 162 anymore. Sports in the US is all about the playoffs. Kind of a limited way to look at things in my opinion, but it is what it is.

The Brewers have failed to punish the Cards for bad starting pitching. And their own hasn't really been much better.

RRR putting Estrada in just waves the white flag. How can you not pitch Saito or Hawkins there with a day off?

Sure they had less than a 1% chance, but now it's zero. STOP MANAGING LIKE IT'S THE REGULAR SEASON.
