For out of market fans, this is the MLB.tv free game tonight.

Edit: did not realize this is a national TV broadcast as well. So hopefully the Brewers can start 2-0 on national/regional TV.

They are reporting 25-30mph winds blowing out to RF right now. Marcum being a flyball pitcher, this could be a scary night. Looking forward to seeing Gamel's first bomb though.

To be honest, this is the one game this series where Im going in expectating to lose. Hopefully though they prove me wrong and Marcum throws a gem

Going for .500, 2-2

I'm feeling good about Marcum today.

I was looking at his splits by month, he was really good last April, but for career, he really shines in May, and then gets worse every month

FIP

[pre]April/March 4.06

May 3.26

June 4.43

July 4.63

August 5.05

Sept/Oct 4.26[/pre]

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

Hopefully that changeup is really working for Marcum today, otherwise lefties are going to gear up and let er rip.

It's days like this I'll really miss Prince. Probably could hit one out of Wrigley today.

Oh dear. The Brewers should seriously consider signing Craig Counsell to a 1-day contract and tell him to just go for it. Any reasonably well-struck fly ball will have a decent chance of getting out at those speeds.

All-Time Best Homerun Swings

1. Prince Fielder

2. Craig Counsell (regardless of whether or not the ball actually clears the wall)

stadium looks half empty

***: I'm not paraphrasing ESPN here:

"he got off on a technicality"

"he was a cheat that got away with it"

I really wish ESPN would get rid of that behind the plate camera angle during pitches. It's as bad as CBS during the NCAA tournament.

Cards already have 3 bombs in the 1st...I hope they cool down by the 27th.

Homer Bailey...can't say I'm shocked. Funny thing is Dusty Baker will probably be blamed for him never panning out.

This wasn't the exact quote, but yeah, that's what he said.

"he was a cheat that got away with it"

You're not being fair to the announcer about the second quote. Here's what was said:

"There [will] always [be] people who believe he was a drug cheat who got away with it."

You know, ESPN, if you would've shown me the normal camera angle originally, I wouldn't have had to wait to see that Volstad threw a really good pitch to K Lucroy.
