2012-05-01 Brewers (Marcum) at Padres (Volquez), 9:05 PM CDT [Brewers lose, 2-0]

[brettac1]

Phew. Just a scare!

[PrinceEatMeat]

Yes! He's up and running!

[Oldcity]

Whoa... What? He's ok?

[Ennder]

Gamel is channeling his Wolverine here I guess.

[Raw Biz]

Phew. Just a scare!

I won't be relieved until tomorrow. Remember Yo actually still pitched with a torn acl.

[dlk9s]

Details?

.

[Oldcity]

What a roller coaster of emotion

[GormanHarvey]

Looks like crisis averted!

[PrinceEatMeat]

I can now exhale. Was holding my breathe there.

[PrinceEatMeat]

Details?

.

Ran after a foul ball towards the wall on the side of the field, and it looked like he hurt his knee landing into it.

[Oldcity]

Foul pop up. Gamel running back for it, tried to stop and couldn't in time. Hit the wall awkwardly and was holding his knee. Trainer came out, he was down for at least a minute. Then he got up, walked a bit, and then jogged to first. He stayed in. Very strange.

[sdcheezhd]

Pads announced that Luebke will miss his start so they are activating Suppan for tomorrow.

Sorry, didn't see the thread in Major Leagues.

Ooops no more Gamel.

[dlk9s]

Thanks. Hopefully I'll be watching soon.

[AZBrewCrew]

Im with Raw Biz, I wont completely breathe a sigh of relief until tomorrow.

[AZBrewCrew]

Ishikawa in for Gamel now.

[PrinceEatMeat]

Yeah, he could still be hurt badly. Let's hope that's not the case though. He's getting pinch-hit for here, which isn't good.

Agreed. Soreness never really crops up till the day after.

Now Gamel out. Uh oh...

[Oldcity]

God! Now he is out of the game. Showed him limping in the dugout.

[GormanHarvey]

Gamel just limped badly out of the on deck circle and out of the game

[Invader3K]

Hopefully he is okay. He looked like he was limping fairly badly in the dugout now.

[Oldcity]

I imagine we'll see Conrad up. Crap.

[AZBrewCrew]

I wonder if this ends up in a DL stint if we will see Hart get some 1B time, I cant imagine we would play Ishikawa on a daily basis.

Assuming they just call Conrad up and not Green, it wouldn't surprise me to see Hart at 1B against most LHP. That would also allow them to get Aoki out in RF a little bit for more playing time.

Yep, but on the bright side Conrad is the hottest hitter in our entire organization right now. Other than Brauny after last night of course.

With the way Conrad has been hitting, might not be the worst thing ever...at first.
