2012-05-31 Brewers (Greinke) at Dodgers (Billingsley), 9:10 PM CDT [Brewers win, 6-2, end the month of May 2012]

I hate the logic that Rock just brought up about how the goal is to win the series, you don't expect to sweep them.

No, you don't expect to sweep the Dodgers. But every game is unique and separate from every other. It is not a volleyball match. They are just divided up into series' for ease of travel. Unless we are talking about the playoffs, a "series" really means nothing more than a set of games against the same team in a row.

If you won the first 3 games in a 4 game series, you want the 4th one just as much as the others. You don't kick your feet up just because the "series" has already been a success.

Especially with ZG on the mound, anytime he starts you better expect to win

Right, but reply in the NFL wouldn't need to take that long. Big 10 reviews usually take less than 30 seconds.

No way I believe that, you have to function in resetting the ball and players etc too. Plus they review every single touchdown when there is no need

But they do it instantly and in the booth. No waiting for a red flag, walking to peep show booth, etc. 90% are no brainers and take almost no extra time. Not even saying I want more replay in MLB, but it could be done quickly.

I'm so, so tired, but I want to keep watching the game...

Ditto that, a week of staying up until midnight has worn me down...

I'm going to watch the brewers hit one more time and call it a night.

Can't wait until they get back in my time zone...

I love it when the Brewers play on the West coast. That means I get to watch a game and not miss the first three innings.

They stop the game and say the previous play is under review and then wait around for a few minutes for the guys in the booth to tell them the call. Even the obvious ones take a while. If you are going to have replay then you have to get it right 100% of the time (which they dont) or the mistake will be shown on ESPN over and over. Therefore they watch every play from every angle to be totally sure when in theory they only needed a quick 5 second look from one angle. Plus they review way too many obvious plays

Greinke's fastball is filthy. AVS's kid is one big ugly dude

He's kind of Clu Haywood-ish

Which, I suppose in turn makes him kind of Pete Vuckovich-ish

Which is why I lean against replay in MLB. You'll never get them all right. I have been in the IGT where where we've been 50/50 on plays at the plate, plays at 1B, etc.

I really should be in bed but I very much enjoy watching these west coast games. I wish I was at least in central time zone right now!

When I was a kid, I would frequently fall asleep to the radio playing a Bob Uecker lullabye when the team was out West.

Sandy Koufax won 2 world series MVPS (63, 65). Who were the other 2 players to win multiple world series mvps?

I feel like I should know this.

Totally random: Babe Ruth and Josh Beckett?

Edit: Switch Beckett with Reggie Jackson.

I'll go with Reggie Jackson and Hank Aaron to the multi-WS MVP question.

If not, I give up.

Reggie is correct. Aaron only played in the 57 and 58 series where we went 1-1. Lew Burdette won 3 games and the 57 MVP. The other is Bob Gibson
