Pretty sure Aoki got in there safe. It was close though, so can't really complain.

Actually in the x-mo reply it looked like Lawrie tagged his back foot before his front foot touched the bag. That's how I saw it anyhow

In some ways I wish Lawrie could have been kept. Would've done some real damage in Milwaukee but I understand the idea of getting Marcum too. We aren't in the playoffs last year without him most likely. I'm glad we have Ramirez though. He's a proven RBI machine. Does he not get signed if we still have Lawrie? Lotta things to question.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Wolfy battles. Not a ton of stuff just real smart and battles his guts out each start. Gotta respect that and his long career.

If Lawrie was at 3B, then no, ARam would not be signed. And just because a guy is an "RBI machine" isn't saying much. RBI are more indicative of opportunity, i.e. where someone bats in the order and whether guys are on base in front of him. I like ARam but saying he's an RBI machine doesn't carry much weight.

This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

I don't know if that call was Roenicke's. Aoki could've dropped that on his own given what the D was showing him. Not saying it was the right decision, just not 100% it was Roenicke making it

or, it could have been a RR call...

We'll never know.

Man, you love to argue don't ya? This guy drives in runs. That's been his job his whole career and for the most part has done it very successfully and on some not so great teams too.
