Caught most of the game while driving back to Eau Claire from Milwaukee, I found myself having a hard time staying awake during Joe Block's innings. Its night and day between him and Uecker.

Braun looks terrible today.

Lot of hustle on the basepaths from him though in getting that run earlier

Nats fans might be saying "Morse is super clutch in this game" but, no, actually, he's just facing the Brewers bullpen

Super stoked for the huge series with the Astros starting tomorrow!

Don't look now but the Cubs are closing on the Brewers fast.

OK, I consider myself a fairly reasonable fan. I generally don't call for someone's head after one or a few bad decisions or plays, don't rant and rave too much. I'm pretty patient. That said, if K-Rod and Veras are still on this team on August 1st, I'm going to have a hard time watching for the rest of the season. I'll also lose a lot of faith in the front office.

I'm not sure how our double A pen could be any worse then these guys

Other than wasting service time, I think you are probably right

As bad as the individuals in the bullpen have been I don't think the poor management of RRR can be overlooked. In this game alone he sent 2 guys back out for a second inning and they both ended up throwing over 30 pitches. That is setting them up for failure. There was no reason for Axford batting with runners on base. RRR's inability to manage the bullpen has been evident all year. I'm not saying he is the whole reason for the bullpen implosion but I think he has to take a majority of the blame.

I'd like to make a suggestion to the entry music for any and all relievers from here on out: Yakety Sax.

Would be pretty funny if, on the road, opposing ballparks started up with Kool and the Gang when the Brewers bullpen door opens.

The Nats have only given up double digit runs 3 times this season before today. Evey time they hit double digits they gave up 11. Lost all 3 games, two of them in extras.
