LHP and new sidearmer Daniel Meadows gets a welcome and needed bump from Brevard County to Huntsville.

INF Adrian Williams has been activated from the Manatee DL.

The Stars will need to make a corresponding move, almost assuredly on the pitching side (currently with 13, they're not going to 14), but they may not have to make the move until Sunday. We'll see...

The corresponding move is to place RHP Mark Williams, who has split 2013 between High-A and AA, on the 7-day DL.

#Brewers Minor League LHP Alan Williams suspended 50 games for second positive test for a drug of abuse.

When it rains it most certainly pours on us Brewer fans... dammit. Am I only the only who thinks we're overdue for a turnaround with stuff like this? I've had enough of suspensions, injuries, and poor performances out of top prospects, there's no time like to present to turn it around.

To make room for Mitch Haniger at Brevard County, IF Adrian Williams goes back to the disabled list.

Williams, out of UCLA, is only 22, but he's been relegated to the 26th man role, last year as well with the Timber Rattlers. Has to be tough, but he's still in affiliated pro ball, so it's like they say, until they take the uniform off you...

I'm happy for Haniger, but sad for T-Rats fans...

On Saturday, the Stars activated C Adam Weisenburger from the disabled list. Weisenburger, 24, has been on the DL since April 30th. The Plymouth, MN native hit .355 (11-for-31) with seven runs batted in prior to his disabled list stint.

In a corresponding move, C Joey Paciorek was placed on the disabled list (retroactive to 5/22). Since being transferred from Nashville (AAA) on May 2nd, Paciorek played nine games with the Stars, hitting .261 in 23 AB.

The Stars roster still sits at 25 players, the Southern League maximum.

Nashville Media Notes --

HENSLEY JOINS SOUNDS BULLPEN: Veteran right-hander Clay Hensley has joined the Sounds after signing with the Brewers as a minor league free agent today. Utility INF Adrian Williams was activated from the Brevard County DL and subsequently transferred to Wisconsin.

The Rattlers will need to make a corresponding move.

It will probably involve infielder Jose Sermo, who exited a game this week.

Congrats to Brooks Hall (stats)!

Via the 'Tees:

RHP Brooks Hall transferred from Brevard County to Huntsville.

Brevard County's roster is now at 24 active players, one under the Florida State League limit.

Doesn't help a late Manatee playoff push, but player development is the key, and this was absolutely deserving.

Hall, 23 this month, was selected by the Brewers in the fourth round of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft out of T.L. Hanna (S.C.) High School.

Milwaukee has acquired 3B Juan Francisco from Atlanta in exchange for minor-league LHP Thomas Keeling. Francisco will wear uniform #21.

That's how a spot opened up on the Stars roster.

Keeling (career stats) was selected by the Brewers in the 18th round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft out of Oklahoma State University ... was previously drafted by the New York Yankees in the 20th round of the 2009 Draft, but did not sign.
