Who should bat #5, Gomez? Does it really make that much of a difference?

I think each of the three batters behind him are better hitters at this point. So, any one of them for me.

Nope it doesn't make a difference. They are all mediocre hitters and none of them are going to 'protect' anyone. This isn't even worth complaining about imo. Segura batting 2nd might make some sort of sense with Weeks down at #5 but Gomez should never sniff the top of the order so it would have to be Segura moved up.

Gomez and Segura batting higher would allow them to play some small ball with their sucky hitters.

The problem really isn't Gonzalez batting 5th as much as Gonzalez, "starting 1B."

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

The difference between Gonzalez and the alternatives for 1 month is basically zero. A LHer to balance the lineup would be nice but that is about it.

Let's go, Wily!!!!!

MLB.tv is fine here, owbc. Great picture!

It works now but I held my breath when I opened it the second time. Thank goodness for MS Office autosave.

Peralta is all over the place so far.

Wow, at 15 pitches and no outs, I was ready for a 30 pitch inning for Wily. With some help from Maldy, he gets out of the inning at 19 pitches.

Remind me. We are at home, right? I haven't seen these clowns call one play our way.

I know that EY Jr. stolen base was technically the correct call, but that one goes to the runner 9 times out of 10.

Brauny working Nicasio here.

Braun has such a good eye.

To borrow from Cinderalla Man, his patience is going to "pay dividends in later rounds".

Brian said Brauny was at the plate for seven minutes.
