I'll never understand why people hated Helms. He wasn't lazy, he wasn't a malcontent, he didn't badmouth Milwaukee. He was just one player among many who didn't live up to expectations.

 

Its was like a mob mentality with Helms. A few people hated him and everyone just followed the crowd.

 

If you want a former Brewer to hate who deserves it, hate Gary Sheffield.
